About Me
"Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost." - Luke 15:6
Welcome, friends. I'm so excited to share my faith journey with you. My name is Bethany. I was raised in a combined United Methodist/Presbyterian church, but I became an atheist as a teenager because mainstream Christianity no longer aligned with my progressive and scientific social ethics. After over a decade, I was called to return to Jesus Christ. Join me as I explore Christian theology, ethics, art, and personal reflections. I hope that my faith journey shows other lost and questioning sheep what Christianity can be at its best: a radically inclusive, affirming faith that promotes environmental stewardship, pacifist ethics, and social justice.

I believe in the Holy Trinity and Jesus Christ as the divine Son of God: the Good Shepherd who nurtures and accepts all people, especially the lost, the outcasts, and the oppressed. My faith is non-denominational Christian, inspired by mainline Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, progressive Christianity, Quakerism, secular/Christian humanism, and transcendentalist philosophy.
